And the final tally is in ...

And the final tally is ... We raised a whopping $13,800 at our Inaugural Event! Congratulations to Home Suite Hope for being the Recipient Charity! Home Suite Hope is a local organization which provides long-term accommodation (average stay of up to 24 months) for low-income, precariously-housed, single parent families so that they can have the time necessary to stabilize their lives. It was great to come out and meet some of the staff. We'll be sure to get some of them out to our next event to meet all the guys and give us an update.

Thanks to a great group of guys! Our Inaugural Event was a HUGE success. All told, we had close to 90 guys come out to the event, and almost 50 guys pitched in their donations after the fact. A truly phenomenal turnout! A shout out goes out to the 100 Guys of Toronto, specifically Eric Shouten, Chris Petko and Jeff Yee, for helping to get us up and running and sharing their lessons learned. A special thanks goes out to Doug Greco, owner of Tavolo, for his tremendous support in making our Inaugural Event the success it was, and for his generousity in providing us with free appetizers. He even hooked us up with Mill St. Brewery, who were generous enough to give us free beer as well! Finally, thanks to our volunteers, including Andrew Sue-A-Quan, Mel Hum and Darren Young, for holding down the registration desk. If you missed the event, check out some of the pics here courtesy of Stacey Newman Photography.

Feedback welcome ... We welcome your feedback - email or call us with any suggestions you may have. Just a friendly reminder that there is only a couple of us doing this at the sides of our desks. As we look to improve our events, we kindly ask you to RSVP to our invites, come with cheques in hand, make payment arrangements in advance and let us know if you can't make it. Don't make us chase you!

Please Continue to Spread the Word Let's keep the momentum going. Please continue to spread the word to your friends, neighbours and colleagues. Our group is not limited to 100 guys or Oakville. We want to focus on Halton based charities and are happy to welcome guys from Mississauga, Burlington, Brampton and Milton. Let's see how big we can get, and how much of an impact we can make in our local communities.

If you have been forwarded this email and are interested in joining us, please make sure you sign up with all your contact info here so we can add you to our mailing list. You can also follow us on social media for more updates.
