Nominating a Charity
Remember, we are looking to members like you to nominate charities at our next event. They should be local registered charities that serve Halton and that are able to issue individual tax receipts. Some things to consider ... April is Awareness Month for:

Child Abuse Prevention
Sexual Assault Awareness & Prevention
According to the recent Vital Signs 2015 Report,
The overall poverty rate in Oakville is over 8.5%
SAVIS Halton (Sexual Assault & Violence Intervention Services of Halton) received over 300 calls last year
Halton Women’s Place shelter was accessed by over 200 residents in 2014-15
Food for Life distributes over 46,500 meals each month
1 in 4 older adults are living with an illness or a mental health problem such as depression, anxiety or dementia
