Recipient Charity & Final Tally
Congratulations to Front Line Outreach for being the Recipient Charity! Together, we raised $15,300 in our Q4/16 event! Front Line Outreach is a registered charity with a mission to serve, and help others serve, the disadvantaged with dignity, justice, mercy and humility. They help local churches and organizations connect with local subsidized housing communities for the purposes of poverty relief and community investment. Their primary objective is to address the symptoms of poverty and to invest in children and youth to enable them to break free from poverty. They conduct several different community events, including Camp Dakota, Community BBQ’s & Dinners, Winter Outerwear Distributions, and Christmas Toy Distributions among others, all with a different focus but ultimately the same purpose — to serve others. It was great to come out to meet Ron, Joyce and some of the volunteers, and to learn more about this great organization. We'll be sure to get them out to our next event to meet all the guys and give us an update.

Our Q4/16 Event was another phenomenal success! It was great to have Gayle Kabbash come out and tell us about Food4Kids and how they used our group donation from our last event. HUGE thanks to our event sponsor TD Bank Group for providing us an outstanding evening including a kwaf wine experience, Big Rock Brewery for craft beer, and Plum Catering for tasty appetizers. Also a special thanks to our volunteers, including Andrew Sue-A-Quan, Mel Hum and Rob Ruso & sons for holding down the registration desk. We are always looking for new sponsors, venues and volunteers for future events. Specifically, we are looking for photographers (amateur members are more than welcome!) to cover one of our events and beverage sponsors to pick up the bar tab at one of our upcoming events.
Spread the Word & Stay Connected
Let's keep the momentum going. Please continue to spread the word to your friends, neighbours and colleagues. Our group is not limited to 100 guys or Oakville. We want to focus on Halton based charities and are happy to welcome guys from Burlington, Brampton and Milton. Let's see how big we can get, and how much of an impact we can make in our local communities.
