Recipient Charity & Final Tally
Congratulations to The Learning Disabilities Association of Halton for being the Recipient Charity. Together, we raised $25,000 in our Q1/18 event.
The Learning Disabilities Association of Halton (LDAH) is a charitable organization focused on supporting, educating and delivering services to families, children, youths and adults with learning disabilities and positively impacting their lives. Their mission is to provide leadership in learning disabilities advocacy, research, education and services and to advance the full participation of children, youth and adults with learning disabilities in today’s society. They value promoting positive change through innovation, strategic partnerships, credible advocacy, informed public policy, and quality products and services. It was great to come out to meet Alison, Diane, Erica and other staff & volunteers, and to learn more about this great organization and what they do. We'll be sure to get them out to our next event to meet all the guys and give us an update.
Thanks to a Great Group of Guys!
Our first event for 2018 was another huge success. Thanks to all the guys who came out and supported the cause, and for those that couldn't make it but still donated. It was great to have Bryce Anger come out and tell us about The Darling Home For Kids and how they used our group donation from our last event. Special thanks to Francesco Policaro and Tony Colangelo at Policaro Harley-Davidson for providing us with an awesome venue, cold beer and tasty nibbles! More importantly, they generously pledged to match donations from attendees that night, totaling $7,500. Wow! Also a special thanks to our dedicated volunteers, including Andrew Sue-A-Quan, Mel Hum and Rob Ruso for holding down the registration desk. Spread the Word & Stay Connected
Let's keep the momentum going. Please continue to spread the word to your friends, neighbours and colleagues. Our group is not limited to 100 guys or Oakville. We want to focus on Halton based charities and are happy to welcome guys from Burlington, Brampton and Milton. Let's see how big we can get, and how much of an impact we can make in our local communities.
